 Hathway Sycamores Meeting 1 and 2

On May 4, 2021, Angela Ren (Founder) and Nicole Zhen (Outreach Contact) attended a meeting with the Director of Development at Hathaway-Sycamores, Melissa Pittson. Hathaway-Sycamores’ mission is to cultivate hope and resilience to enrich the well-being of children, adults, families, and communities. Youth4ward recognized their goal and wanted to create a partnership with them that will benefit everyone who needs our guidance and voices. Throughout the meeting ideas about fundraising, donating, and online activities that the members of Youth4ward could partake in were discussed. As Youth4ward’s mission was introduced to Melissa, she was very excited to partner with us and continue to keep us in touch about other projects that she would like to have Youth4ward participate in. 

On June 16, 2021, Angela Ren (Founder), Nicole Zhen (Outreach Contact), Cindy Cui (Content Co-Director), and Lei Wat (WECRE8 Founder) attended a second meeting with Melissa Pittson, the Director of Development at Hathaway-Sycamores. The meeting consisted of a discussion about a field trip that Youth4ward will lead at one of Hathaway-Sycamores’ locations. Melissa suggested an idea about fundraising for school supplies and/or a school drive that Youth4ward, as well as other organizations in WECRE8 will be able to participate in, gathering donations and materials to assemble into backpacks for the children at Hathaway-Sycamores. As the details of this event are almost finalized, Youthward is looking forward to finally meeting everyone at Hathaway-Sycamores and taking part in our first in person partnership project.
