Youth Forward believes that every child should have access to healthcare, education, and safety. During Angela Ren’s sophomore year of high school, she has followed the mentorship under Center for the Pacific Asian Family (CPAF) with the Rooted Leadership Project. This program guided her to design, implement, and evaluate a project that promotes nonviolence in the API community. As a result, Youth Forward was discovered to further investigate the process and injustice of the Children’s Welfare System as well as promoting children’s welfare in the San Gabriel Valley. Through the continuous series of interviews with community organizations, Youth Forward educates and connects our generation on this universal issue through workshops, fundraisers, volunteering, curriculum, and highlighting case management obstacles in support groups.
